ALL CONSUMED
(2020)
Dir: Debbie Lane
Running Time: 13:10
Synopsis: Noodle is a lonely, solitary creature whose love of art is only outweighed by her desire to be normal. One day, whilst going about her daily chores, an unfortunate accident gives her an idea that seemingly solves all of her problems... but at what cost?

ALL CONSUMED is a stop-motion animation created using puppets and hand made sets. This film was produced during the lockdown period of 2020 and therefore is created solely by Debbie Lane, meaning all of the props, puppets, sets, animation, filming and editing was done by one person. This was also the first attempt at stop-motion animation so was a full on learning curve.

Most things were created with materials that were available as left-overs or off-cuts laying around in the garage, or things that were already owned, such as cardboard, balsa wood, tins of wood stain or paint, liquid latex, polymer clay, cotton wool, kitchen roll, plastic dip pots, twigs, string, spray paints, and so on. Items such as aluminium wire, various glues, epoxy putty, plasticine, air-drying clay, wooden craft sticks, and a small acrylic set and some brushes were bought specifically for this project, costing around maybe £75. Although a lot of this was left over (especially the wire as different sizes were bought before finding the right ones to actually use!), and could easily be used for another project.

Some lighting gels, an iPad holder, some battery operated fairy lights, and a mini light with tripod were also bought for this, although the mini light was never used, however the tripod proved invaluable for getting the iPad set up within the mini set so was worth the cost just for this! These bits were probably around another £75 altogether.

So the total cost of production was probably around £150, but a lot of these materials and equipment will likely be used for future projects spreading the cost.

SIN Festival Awards Ceremony (Miami, 2022)
SIN Festival Awards Ceremony, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, September 2022. I was shocked and amazed to be informed that my film was not only accepted into the Miami SIN Film Festival, but was nominated for three of the awards - Pride, Wrath, and Gluttony. I was even more shocked to hear that it actually WON the Gluttony award! As much as I would have loved to have gone along to the festival, this was beyond my means, so I sent in an acceptance speech. This video is the full ceremony of all the nominees and winners.
